Answered a message and the money has not moved? Payouts are sent by a backend service a few seconds after your reply is accepted. If it has not arrived, the escrow account still shows the real state — check it there before asking anyone.

Knock holds the money in a program on Solana while a message waits, and moves it one of two ways: to you if you answer inside your window, back to the sender if you do not. That part is on-chain and anyone can verify it.

Two things are not. Message text is stored off-chain by Knock — only a hash of it is written to the escrow, which proves the text has not changed but does not put the text anywhere public. And payouts are authorised by Knock's oracle key: the program will only release money to you when that key signs to say a reply was accepted. That is the one part of this system you have to trust us with. Refunds do not need it — after the window closes the money returns to the sender regardless.

Knock never promises anyone will answer you. It only promises the money comes back if they do not.
